I understand why people react unhelpfully to life and career challenges

Any decision to commission me as your coach comes with the assurance of 25 years business experience as a chartered and registered occupational psychologist and 16 years experience as a chartered coaching psychologist and MISCP accredited coaching psychologist, gained in London based corporate centre HR roles and large UK wide dispersed organisations. Through this in-depth knowledge of psychology, I understand why people react unhelpfully to life and career challenges and coach them to find more helpful strategies to deal with things differently.

I understand the challenges and career development needs of busy ambitious people

Applying this knowledge to my coaching practice, you can be sure that the coaching we undertake together is matched to your unique situation and organisational context (where applicable) and always anchored in leading edge coaching psychology theory and best practice. With hands-on experience of leadership and talent development, I understand the challenges and career development needs of busy executives and the behaviours and qualities which make up high performing teams.

I am passionate to share my coaching knowledge and expertise with the coaches I supervise

As a BPS Chartered Coaching Psychologist, BPS RAPPs approved and MISCP accredited coach supervisor and Member of the Association of Coaching Supervisors, I enjoy paying forward my extensive coaching knowledge and expertise in support of the development of the coaches I work with. This knowledge and experience includes designing and implementing three coaching strategies over recent years and becoming a published author in coaching psychology in 2019, 2023 & 2024.* All this adds up to a solid background in coaching which I am passionate to share with coaches who choose me as their supervisor.

I am passionate to share my Chartered Occupational Psychologist knowledge and experience with those I supervise

As a BPS Chartered and HCPC Registered Psychologist (Occupational) and BPS RAPPs approved supervisor, I enjoy paying forward my extensive business management consultancy experience in support of the post-graduates I supervise, whilst they undertake the BPS Qualification in Occupational Psychology (Stage 2) (2019). This knowledge and experience includes selection and assessment programmes from entry level to senior levels in organisations, graduate recruitment and programmes to identify high potential talent.

I also have strategic level experience of leadership development and organisational change initiatives. All this adds up to a solid background and experience in Occupational Psychology Consultancy within a business environment.

More about me

Ethical, authentic, discovery

The values of my business, ‘ethical, authentic, discovery,’ were formed, not only as I developed as an occupational and coaching psychologist, but also from early education experiences, at my secondary school in Lyme Regis, Dorset, which first introduced me to a love of learning.

Many years later, studying with the Open University once again peaked my love of learning, emerging with a first class honours degree in Psychology and building upon this success with a Masters Degree in Occupational Psychology. Many more years of following my passions and growing my psychology knowledge and expertise further in the corporate business world, lead to where I am today. Success that I would never have dreamt possible in those early years!

What was the secret of my success?

I didn’t initially set out to train to reach a particular level, I just studied what I was passionate about, played to my strengths and continually looked for opportunities to do what I love doing.

Instead of allowing life to ‘just happen to me,’ I truly created my own career journey of ‘ethical, authentic, discovery,’ leading to my passion as a coach and coach supervisor to encourage and support my clients to take the first steps and set out on their own authentic journey of discovery.

Client Testimonials

Dawn inspired me to challenge my thinking and assumptions, coaching me through a voyage of ‘guided discovery,’ which helped me find new learning and understanding, leading to my ‘currency’ as a leader growing exponentially. Dawn asks powerful questions, which are minded to the cognitive and identity diversity. She introduces models which encourage self-reflection and builds self-awareness. If you want to grow, Dawn will take you on your journey to growth, if you are unsure, ‘feel the fear’ and do it anyway!
